Looking for a CSA??

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a means of connecting communities with their local farmers.

Members pay up-front to provide the farmer with capital at the beginning of the season. The concept of “community support” also guarantees farmers an outlet for their products. In exchange, members get fresh, local produce and a bond with the people growing their food. In an era of dwindling family farms, CSAs are enabling many small-scale operations throughout the country to maintain economic viability. For us, the CSA provides consistent income that allows us to invest in the future of our farm. Having a CSA membership allows you to experience the joys of eating fresh, nutritional, and top quality seasonal food.

Advantages for farmers

Get to spend time marketing the food early in the year, before their 16 hour days in the field begin

Receive payment early in the season, which helps with the farm's cash flow

Have an opportunity to get to know the people who eat the food they grow.

Advantages for consumers

Get exposed to new vegetables and new ways of cooking

Visits to the farm at least once a season

Find that kids typically favor farm fresh foods over other food outlets

Because OSU-OKC is open all year, we have decided to offer an all year- round CSA program. We have decided to try something new this year. Instead of the traditional “baskets”, we are going to a credit system. CSA members purchase a share, anywhere from $100 to $1000 increments, which they then spend like cash throughout the year at the farmers’ market. As members pick out their produce over the course of the season, we subtract their weekly selections from their credit balance. CSA members can choose as much or as little as they want each week. Members receive a 10% to 30% discount depending on the amount they purchase. We strive for a high variety of produce throughout the spring and summer seasons, though we consistently grow seasonal staples (like lettuce and tomatoes). A major benefit to this program is its flexibility. If you go on vacation your balance will be waiting for you when you return and you can select what you want from our market table. Please note that some times during the year we sell out before the end of the market day so we encourage our CSA members to come early to allow yourself ample produce selection. We offer different share levels to help you buy the membership best suited to your needs, and we encourage you to regularly inquire as to the amount of your balance to help you gauge your use.

Breakdown for discount

$100 - $250 = 10% off getting $10 to $25 extra

$300 - $450 =15% off getting $45 to $68 extra

$500 - $950 = 20% off getting $100 to $190 extra

$1000 = 30% off getting $300 extra

If you refer a friend and they purchase a CSA of $250 or more then we will give you $25 credit on your acct.

We will have eggs that you able to use your credit towards and we are hoping that as year the progresses we are able to add more items such as canned and frozen items that you may add. We are working on the proper license to sell these items.
